My visit to Kabuki- Hamilton

Kabuki Spa & Skin Centre -150 Locke St S, Hamilton, ON L8P 4A

I recently had my first ever facial! It was a bit of a spur of the moment decision as I was looking for a place close to home to get my nails done, but when I headed to Kabuki ‘s website I noticed they had some really great packages available.

The “on the run” package caught my eye, which includes a mini manicure, mini pedicure, and quick facial.

A no-brainer considering the price point! ($75.00 before tax.)

My appointment began with a manicure and pedicure, both of which were dry, which means there is no nail soak or scrub. I added on a scrub to my pedicure because my feet definitely need some TLC! I would recommend the full pedicure or an add-on if you have feet that really need some attention!

As for the facial, it was amazing!

Like a lot of people, I was initially scared that it would cause a major break out or irritation, but none of that really happened! One of the main reasons that I looked up Kabuki was because it is one of Hamilton’s first organic spas, going on five years of business this year!

The facial began with a skin assessment. My therapist was Michelle. She was really great! She asked me a few questions, such as what my skin concerns are, what products I use etc. and she also told me some of her concerns that she noticed with my skin from her assessment. With that, she quickly chose products that would help to address my skin’s issues.

The facial started with a cleanser, she massaged it in and then came a face scrub (this felt amazing) she gave a really good scrub, which is great for me because I have a bit of acne scarring and then finished with a moisturizer and facial mist! The facial mist felt really nice and calming. All of the produced use overall had a very light scent, great if you don’t like harsh smells. The products they used for this facial were by Eminence. These products use organic and biodynamic ingredients to create safe and effective beauty products, for more info on Eminence check out their website  http://bit.ly/2rABx9H

Overall I would defiantly have these services again!

Facials may become a new habit for me!

I would like to thank Michelle and the staff at Kabuki for their amazing service.

Pros: Great service! Offered me a tea as soon as I came in! Very clean, great atmosphere!

Therapist-Michelle was great! Made me feel really comfortable and really cared and enjoyed her work!

Cons: Was not clear on the website that the manicure and pedicure in this package were dry. The website was a bit confusing for finding services and giving complete descriptions.
