My First VoxBox Review

I received my first VoxBox from Influenster this past month! If you haven’t heard of Influenster, you should definitely check their website out. Essentially, it is a product review platform. You can go to their website and review anything from food to beauty products and everything in between!

What is really cool about Influenster is that you can receive products to review for free, just like your favorite Influencers do! The free products come in what is referred to as VoxBoxes, in order to qualify for these VoxBoxes you have to complete a certain number of reviews to unlock badge levels. Also, you must link your social media as your following is taken into consideration when qualifying for a VoxBox.

The campaign that I received was from Covergirl Cosmetics, it included the Elixer Foundation. This is definitely a full coverage foundation, they also sent a flyer with the full-colour spectrum, which looks quite promising. The foundation has SPF 20 and claims to hydrate all day while remaining lightweight. I personally found the formula to be on the heavier side but if you apply a very minimal amount it would provide good coverage without being too heavy. I also received Covergirls Melting Pout Liquid Lipstick in the shade 105 Gel-ful. It definitely is a lipstick, it provides good pigmentation, however, as someone with darker lips, I find certain shades can come across as too pinky. This product’s creamy consistency allows you to easily blend and mix to create a more natural finish.

You can download the Influenster app on your app store. All in all, Influenster seems to be fairly easy to use. I did have a bit of trouble navigating the app, but once you get a hang of it, it works relatively smoothly. Try it out for yourself and let me know what you think!
