A few weekends back I had an amazing experience with some of my OG girlfriends, (I call them my OG because I have known them since elementary school! so crazy, like well over 10 years of friendship!). This fantastic weekend was to celebrate one of my girlfriends 26th birthday, and I want to give you all a review and recap of our stay, eats, and what we got up to!
We stayed the night at the Sheraton on the Falls, this hotel is really lovely, we had a room with two Queen beds but it also had a bit of a lounge area and the most amazing view of the falls! The hotel was really clean, staff was very friendly, it also has a pool and spa (that I didn’t get a chance to take advantage of), I believe it has a gym, Starbucks in the lobby, and restaurants attached and nearby. It is also right next door to the Casino Niagara, so that’s a bonus! I also really liked that they had robes available, so many hotels don’t have them, or at least they don’t offer them! And the view in this room is amazing! This room had floor to ceiling windows, that open like doors, it was so beautiful, I would book this room for my next say for this feature alone!
The Wine Tour
We embarked on a bit of an adventure in Niagara wine country with Magnificent Wine Tours. They took us to three wineries; Konzelmann, Inniskillin, and Reif EstateWinery! We also had a one-hour lunch break in the picturesque downtown of Niagara on the Lake!
We had a blast trying out new wines, like this amazing peach wine by Konzelman and some delicious iced wines. I really enjoyed our tour and our tour guide was so funny, he knew so much about the area and history of Niagara region! It was a great afternoon and the best part is they pick you up and drop you off right at your hotel! So I would highly recommend trying out a wine tour if you have not before! They make great dates or girls trips!
For dinner we went to Canyon Creek in the Fallsview Casino mall, it has great views and such a nice atmosphere. I ordered the New York Peppercorn Steak, which came with greens and mashed potato, to drink I always get the Foxy Lady, it is huge! This gin-based cocktail is really light and refreshing, and really beautiful to look at, a great fancy drink for a girls nite. Then we headed off to the Casino and did some dancing at the Fallsview Casino nightclub Dragonfly. The next morning we went for brunch at the Fallsview restaurant, which was attached to our hotel, this buffet brunch is amazing, sooo much food! I would recommend checking it out for sure but be warned, it is not cheap!
I had a fantastic weekend and the best part about this trip is that we never stopped laughing! I love having a giggle with my girlfriends making memories and goofing around, it is so nice having friends you feel so comfortable with and can really relax and have a good time!
That’s a wrap for me this time! But I would love to hear about any hidden gems in the Niagara area!Let me know in the comments 🙂
Peace & Love
