It’s been a while since I have done a beauty product review so I thought I’d come on and share this new product I was so kindly gifted from Dr.Teal’s. I have never tried a Dr. Teals product before and I was curious to check them out. I am also going to share my do it your self home spa experience with a hot eucalyptus steam shower routine, filled with my favourite eucalyptus products.
The Review of Dr.Teals Moisturiser
I always like to begin with the packaging, I was really impressed with the look of the bottle. To me it looks old school-ish, almost apothecary in style. The only con is that I wish that the glass and even more simple and slightly bigger. I don’t know why, but I love my body lotion to be a huge bottle for some reason lol.
I loveeee the scent of these lotions! I was sent three bottles of the body lotions, one of each scent, and I instantly went for the eucalyptus and spearmint, because who wouldn’t?! and I fell in love.
The consistency is lovely, not too greasy and not too thick, it’s light and the mint makes it cooling and a bit of a tingle. It has amazing scent pay off, it feels amazing after a shower. I love eucalyptus, I find it so healing and comforting, perfect for when your feeling a bit down.
The ingredients aren’t as clean as I would like them to be, but they use essential oils to create the scent, it has shea butter and coca butter as well as good old vitamin E. These are all great ingredients for the skin; it has moisturizing, healing and invigorating benefits as well as anti-aging, healing and soothing properties, so loads of great benefits in there!
All in all, I would definitely recommend these moisturizers and would love to try more of Dr. Teal’s products in the future! I think this will definitely become a staple in my relaxation routine.
My Eucalyptus Home Spa Experience
What you will need:
Dr. Teal’s eucalyptus body lotion
Eucalyptus essential oil
A few eucalyptus branches
Body Scrub ( I uses Basd coffee scrub I also have a good Arbonne one)
A dry brush
Dr. Bronners Castile Soap in eucalyptus
Optional: oil diffuser / candles
Tie a few eucalyptus branches to your shower head, this adds a lovely eucalyptus scent to your showers! It’s amazing and I think it looks lovely. You can increase this effect by running a hot shower and adding a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil into your shower drain or if you don’t want to do this you could light a eucalyptus candle or run your oil diffuser with eucalyptus oil.
Before I enter the shower I like to take a few minutes with my diffuser on to meditate and have some time for myself before I start my treatment.
I begin by taking my dry brush and gently brushing my skin in the areas I find my skin appears to be the most dry or dull. I use moderate circular motions, working downwards. I tend to focus most on my knees, legs, upper thigh, elbows and back.
Then I head into the shower!I love taking a hot shower and letting the steam build up while I use my favourite body scrub! At the moment is is the coffee scrub by Basd Body Care. Then I use Dr. Bronners eucalyptus castile soap which smells so good and fits perfectly with the theme.
Then I seal it all in using Dr.Teals body lotion with eucalyptus and peppermint. After this treatment my skin is literally glowing and dewy and I feel so restored, not to mention I smell amazing!!!!
Its like a mini spa day in your home for a fraction of the cost!
