Hip Beauty- A Review of Flawless by Gabrielle Union- EVENT INVITE***

I am back with another beauty product review! This time I’m focusing on my curls! And I am so excited to share this amazing product that was sent to me by Clore beauty Supply.

Flawless by Gabrielle Union is a new line to Clore Beauty Supply, and to celebrate the launch they sent me the oil treatment product to try out for you all!

The packaging is really cute! The aqua blue with gold labeling really stands out, but also looks expensive to me in comparison to other packaging! The size is about 3 Oz of product for approx. $25.00, which to me is great value as a little of the product goes a long way! There is a scent to the product, but it isn’t overwhelming, it has notes of fruit and is a light sweet smell.

Some of the stand out ingredients in this product are;

  • Argan Oil
    • Filled with Omega 9, antioxidants and Vitamin E
    • Improves hair strength, repairs damage and restores shine and softness
  • Marula Oil
    • Hydrates and repairs hair
    • Highly concentrated with essential fatty acids, antioxidants and Omegas
  • Avocado Oil
    • Rich in fatty acids, Vitamins A, E and D to provide maximum conditioning
    • Vitamin content helps strengthen hair against breakage and binds split ends together
  • Pea Protein
    • A rich source of essential amino acids for increased hydration and elasticity, helping to prevent hair breakage
  • Macadamia Oil
    • Rich in nourishing omega 7, 5 and 3 fatty acids that promote healthy hair
  • Coconut Oil
    • Strengthens and fortifies the hair strand

I am happy to see coconut oil on this list, as it works wonders on my hair and is the oil I typically deal with and treat with. I am also pleased that the product makes use of avocado oil, as it is a very rich product, with many benefits. Avocado Oil is quite expensive, so I do not typically use it, but it is nice to have it in a product. This product also makes use of macadamia oil, which has proven to be a great oil for my hair care routines!

I have decided to try this out three ways for you all! The first way was as a hot oil treatment. On freshly washed hair I applied a generous amount of product and then place a plastic shower cap and then a head wrap over and left it in for about an hour. When I do this type of treatment I like to use warm water on my hair and double wrap the hair to great more body heat! When I took my hair out it looked very shiny! Exactly what you would like to see, I then rinsed some of it out with conditioner and I think that’s when the magic happened. After the rinse, my hair looked so healthy and shiny. In the future, I am unsure whether I would use this product alone for a hot oil treatment, I might experiment by adding it in with my everyday conditioner to create a deep treatment.

The second use of this product that I tried was to use it as the main ingredient for my wash and go!  Fresh from the shower, I applied a generous amount to my hair and then added some leave in spray and let my hair air dry.

I love, love, love the outcome with this product!! It makes my hair look so shiny and popping and it is not overly greasy! It does actually absorb into hair and locks in moisture! I would highly recommend using this to seal in your product for both wash and goes and braid outs!

Which leads me to the last way I tested out the product, in my braid out! I used it as my final sealing agent in my routine and it did an excellent job. My hair maintained its shine and was way less frizzy than usual especially after a full day and then a night out!

I cannot wait to try this product out on my straightened hair!

All in all, I would definitely recommend trying this product, especially if you are looking to combat frizz, lock in moisture and combat humidity, as well as if you tend to get dry and split ends!

This product is recommended for all hair types but it is definitely a very rich product so I would recommend it for thick hair types, very dry hair, and curly hair types, definitely not a product for those with thin hair!

I am thrilled to announce that this coming Saturday, March 3rd I will be at at the Clore Beauty Supply Brampton location ( 30 Great Lakes Dr Unit 109-Trinity Commons Mall) for their in-store event, with a panel of other local influencers to discuss all things hair and the Flawless Hair Care line! I invite you to come by and say hello if you’re in the area! The event starts at 1:30pm and I cannot wait to meet everyone and talk about one of my favourite topics …  hair!!

Peace and Love
