Hip Happenings- Flower Power! A warm welcome to House of Penny!

This past weekend, House of Penny opened its doors to the Hamilton community! This eclectic, cozy, and colourful storefront is a perfect fit for the Barton Street revival.

Owner and florist Katelyn Penney, moved from Toronto to Hamilton to live out this dream. Passionate about people, flowers, and Hamilton!  This inspirational mother, business owner, and friend is making her mark in the community and I am so excited to see her bloom. She has been doing weddings and events for some time now and this storefront has truly been a labor of love! She and her partner Michael have put countless hours and energy into creating this amazing space.

Katylen specializes in all things flowers, she does everything from grab and go bouquets to weddings and events. She is very passionate about every detail of her arrangements and it really shows in her work! You can also find everything you need to create the perfect gift or centerpiece, her store is full of unique locally sourced goods including cards, candles, art and much more!

Her open house was so much fun! They sold buttons for 541 Eatery (a fellow neighbour) as well as goodies and refreshments. I picked up a beautiful birthday bouquet for my mom.

Stay tuned for upcoming workshops and events in store and I would highly recommend taking advantage of her most recent promotion for Valentine’s day, she is accepting pre-orders from now until Valentines at 15% off! I adore her arrangments they are so boho and on trend!

So be sure to pop in and say hello! and tell her the Hamilton Hippe sent you ☺️
