It’s that time of year again! The gift giving, face stuffing season is upon us, but finding gifts for some of those loved ones in your life can be a little tricky! Luckily for you, I have put together a list of my top picks for this years holiday season!

Google Home Mini

This is definitely on my wishlist, this cute little device can literally do anything! Perfect for all the lazy…I mean techy people like myself!  This product makes having the google assistant in home more affordable than ever! With voice command, it can play music, give you directions, pause movies or tv, and much more! They also come in cute colours and prints!

Fitbit Alta

I LOVE my Fitbit! This gift is great for the health-conscious, active people in your life. This sleek and stylish design fits perfectly in anyone’s wardrobe. You can also pick up cute wristbands for them too! They do much more than count your steps, you can connect to your phone and it will notify you of calls and texts, you can even read part of the text on the screen. You can track meals, workouts, heart weight, set fitness and food goals, and it motivates you to hit your daily goals! It’s pretty sweet!

Fizzi Sparkling Water Maker

This is another really cool item! This device makes sparkling water right before your eyes! And I know what you’re thinking Ummm why is this so exciting for you!? Well if you don’t already know I love drinking sparkling water infused with fresh fruit as a replacement for pop cravings (check out my tips for cutting the sugar here). This device will save you a ton of money on sparkling water as they cost a lot more than regular spring water! This device is not only really cool but a great money saver if you’re big on the bubbly 🙂

The Naked Cookbook

This is a great gift idea for all the chefs out there! I think many people have a hard time justifying spending money on cookbooks these days, but as a lover of both cooks and cooking, I think these make very touching gifts. I love food and I love trying to eat as healthy as possible. I have heard excellent things about this cookbook and the styling of the book itself is so chic. This book provides simple and healthy recipes that provided nourishment and variety in your diet!

Beauty Gift Sets

I am loving the gift sets I have been seeing in stores like Shoppers Drug Mart and Sephora! They have some amazing and high-end products available for cute and affordable gift sets. These sets are a great way to sample products for yourself also! I have sensitive skin so I am apprehensive about trying new beauty products, these sets, however, allow you to test out products without having to make a commitment to a full-size product. They also are a great way to get your hands on some higher end products you can’t justify spending the same amount on the set as one individual full sized product. For example, the Pixi Gift Sets available at Shoppers Drug Mart or on Pixi’s website and range from $20.00 and up these costs as much as some products alone! Great value to test out trending beauty products! And sure to put a smile on any beauty gurus in your life this Christmas!

Waist Bags

This ain’t your mama’s fanny pack! Waist bags are back and in a big way! This past fall/winter season waist bags have made their return to the high street and they look adorable and really trendy! I cannot wait to get my hands on one, they are not only stylish but super handy, they are hands-free but still small and clutch like! Way harder to lose and the can be strapped across the waist or across the chest, and they come in all sorts of designs. I ordered mine on sale from Guess for $19.00, you cannot beat that! I’ve also seen them at Forever 21. This is perfect for the fashionista in your life!

Oil Diffusers

This is a must-have product in everyone’s home! The benefits of diffusers are amazing, they do a whole lot more than providing lovely scents to your home. They relieve stress, sickness, purify the air, keep the air moist, which is handy as in the winter heaters can dry out your home! I am addicted to these things and I absolutely love mine! You really cannot go wrong with this gift! The great thing is that because they have become so trendy they are becoming considerably more affordable.

I would check out Homesense or Winners for these, they often have them on clearance and they offer a variety of price points.
Soy Candles

I love having loads of candles burning this time of year! It’s really a treat to receive a clean candle, that is one free from harmful chemicals that are in paraffin candles and wicks. I also find many candles tend to be so heavily scented that they can cause headaches and irritation! Soy candles with clean wicks and essential oils can be a bit more pricey to a really lavish and comforting gift! There is just something so healing about candles it’s like gifting someone a big hug!

I would check out local vendors (see below) or Homesense and Winners or local Craft/ Gift Boutiques.

Spa and Wellness

Now, this is a really lovely gift and a bit more than just tossing a gift certificate at someone! Giving someone the gift of relaxation and pampering is just simply divine! Some places in Hamilton I would suggest looking are:

Float Spa’s—> Zee Float (when booking mention Hamilton Hippie for $20.00 off first float)

Kabuki (One of my fav hamilton spas on check out my review here)

Local Vendors

My last but not least is shopping local! Not only are you supporting your local economy but you can get the most unique and well-made products around! There are sooo many craft markets this season it has never been easier or more fun to get out and find a gift!

Here are some local vendors who I love or have caught my eye :

Mala Bath

RDevine ( My absolute favourite Skincare at the moment I use this every day! Use Hippie to save 20%)

Cici Raw Beauty

Vintage Rags

Sunstone Jewels

Lemon Cloud Boutique

Bunny Bum Moccs

Munching Monster Chewlery

This and That Design Co.

Lex and Lennon

Stained Lace

Shabby Fufu Studio

The Fragrance Lab

My Rustic Home

And don’t forget about all the local shops and services Hamilton has to offer, there are some amazing open houses and events happening all throughout the holidays in stores. These are full of great savings and are loads of fun! Happy Christmas shopping to everyone, and remember it’s the thought that counts, so don’t stress out about it all!
